International Women’s Day 2026

Earlier this month we marked International Women’s Day, a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, while also highlighting the continued importance of advancing gender equality.

Observed each year on 8 March, International Women’s Day has been celebrated for more than a century, with the first official event held in 1911. In 2026 the movement marked 115 years of collective action, advocacy and progress, reflecting the efforts of generations working to create a more inclusive and equitable world.

At setec consulting engineers Ltd, we are proud to be part of a global engineering group where talented and dedicated women contribute across many disciplines, supporting projects, operations and innovation throughout the organisation.

To mark the occasion, we highlighted several colleagues from across the setec global network whose work reflects the expertise and commitment of women across our teams:

International Women’s Day also provides an opportunity to celebrate the contributions of women across the wider engineering and infrastructure community, while continuing to support greater diversity and inclusion across the profession.
