HS2 London/Birmingham – C2C3 section

Client Eiffage-Kier-Ferrovial-Bam (EKFB) & HS2 Ltd

High-Speed 2 (HS2) is a high-speed railway line in the United Kingdom linking London to Birmingham. The design of the civil engineering works for the C2 and C3 central packages is ensured by the Design Joint-Venture comprised of Arcadis-Setec-Cowi (ASC). Packages C2 and C3 cross rural areas in the Midlands, covering a distance of 80 km. They include 15 viaducts, 3 cut-and-covers over a total length of more than 6 km, very high earthworks (embankments up to a height of 14 m and excavations down to a depth of 30 m), as well as several bridges and road realignments.

EPR UK – Hinkley Point C

Client Edvance

Hinkley Point C nuclear power station (HPC) is a two-unit, 3,200 MWe EPR nuclear power station under construction in Somerset, England. Setec has been working on the project for several years within a consortium with Egis and Tractebel, under several successive contracts. Following completion of design and detailing acivities Setec is now acting as the Site Design Liaison Team for Nuclear Island Structures. This requires monitoring of the design and construction studies during the construction phase, and in particular the integration of changes in construction methods and processes affecting the Nuclear Island buildings.
