setec at Interchange 2026 – Exploring the Future of UK Infrastructure

We were pleased to take part in Interchange 2026, one of the UK’s leading infrastructure events held at Manchester Central on 3–4 March.

The event brought together infrastructure owners, transport authorities, contractors, consultants and technology specialists to explore how the sector must evolve to deliver more resilient, low-carbon and digitally enabled infrastructure systems.

Representing setec consulting engineers Ltd was Stephen Leo, Business Development Manager, who attended a range of sessions covering systems thinking, digital engineering and climate resilience.

A key theme across the event was the growing shift towards systems thinking in infrastructure delivery, recognising that well-designed transport systems can create wider economic, environmental and social benefits.

Reflecting on the discussions, Stephen commented:

“This was a valuable opportunity to hear how the sector is evolving. From digital engineering to climate resilience, the conversations reinforced the importance of integrated thinking when delivering major infrastructure.”
